The Goo Shifters are a fun new way to play with the Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Range. They’re still super-stretchy and gooey, but when they’re brand new, you don’t yet know what’s in the core. The core, a small squishy ball in the middle of the Heroes, contains the character’s powers and needs to be crushed to active their “Goo Formation”– changing the look of the character. Greg was the real person who fully put them to the test, and he was amazed! He’s honestly so pleased with them and he was also fascinated by the change in texture. He also enjoyed the aspect of crushing the core and activating the goo formation.

I was really impressed with the Goo Shifters range. I thought the change in texture of the filling was pretty amazing. I’d be glad to give these as a gift to my nephews and I know a few more will be on Greg’s Christmas list (he’s collecting them). As with the otherHeroes of Goo Jit Zu toys, they take can take a lot of rough play with my son putting this to the test squishing and stretching Pantaro to its over and over again.

Both my children loved the new “Crush The Core” Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Goo Shifters. It adds a great new interactive element which my nine-year-old adored and my twelve-year-old announced as ‘cool’ an extremely high compliment from this pre-teen. Glow Shifters have an all-new "Goo-formation" feature that allows kids to interact with their Goo Jit Zu Hero and release their figure's special glowing power! We started Liquid Gold Pantaro which started out as a light yellow with a blue core. Once my son crushed the core he filled with a gold liquid which had a magical-looking shimmer when moved. Heroes of Goo Jit Zu toys have been a big hit in out house for a while. Greg is 7 and absolutely loves playing with these, jiggly, stretchy characters. We even wrote about series 2 of the range, which is why we were delighted to receive some Goo Shifters to review. They still have the fun stretchy and gooey element that my kids love but they also have a brand new inner core.And when my daughter is not staging battles she has taken to using the Goo Shifters as fidget toys especially Scorpius with its squishy orbs.
